The acronym SEED stands for Special Early Enrollment Day. SEED Day is usually offered once a month starting in March and going through August. Morning activities: Taking the tests: Students are required to take up to three placement tests which include a writing test, a reading test, and/or a mathematics test. The required tests will be found in the student's personal schedule. While students are testing, parents and non-testing students are invited to attend informational sessions on academic resources, advising, athletics, career development, work study, financial aid, residence life, and students sharing their experiences at Lakeland. The day will progress as follows:

Afternoon Activities: Advising appointments Either before or after advising appointments, there are other activities in which students can participate. Some of these activities are optional while others are required. Optional activities include having a picture taken for a student I.D., visiting the financial aid office, touring the campus and rooms, and visiting the campus pub for free soda and popcorn.
