COURSE DESCRIPTION:

 

1.   The goal of this course is to provide an interactive means for students to learn the skills and techniques needed to create and maintain a Web site. Students will create and edit Web documents using an editor such as FrontPage 2002. Students and faculty will learn together.

 

2.   There is no text for the course, we will be using the internet for our sources.

 

3.   Topics in the text which will be the foci of discussion will include the following: the internet, the HTML language, using text, HTML and WYSIWYG editors, over all site design, aesthetics of web page design, creation and editing of images, practical considerations, and transporting files and images, etc.

 

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

1.   Attendance will be taken and absences will adversely affect your grade.

 

2.   The evaluation of your progress will consist of judging the breath and depth of your daily journal, judging the originality, design modality, and functionality of your personal web site, the breath and depth of your participation in class discussion and sharing of ideas and techniques, and the breath and depth of your participation in a collaborative project.

 

3.              The grade for this course will be awarded in the following fashion:
